Well I finally completed a project. This is pretty good because for some reason, I have a tendency to start sewing projects and never finish them. Maybe I am on to a new trend! Still have to go back to that dress but off to a good start with this purse.
When I was growing up, I would always get so frustrated with making things because I wanted to do all of it 'by myself', I didn't want help from anyone. My mom was reminiscing after we finished our purses and said you are 21 and you finally did it all by yourself ;). Now I have completed other things 'all by myself' before now and have come to very much appreciate help and ideas on many projects, but it was fun doing a project alongside my mom.
Compliments to the pattern designer Nancy, check out her ideas, blog, and pattern here! I am certainly no sewing expert so if I can do this, you can!

You bag turned out beautifully! I love the color combination, especially the perky red interior! Would love to see more photos~~~Please? I made a white burlap bag in a similar shape with a yellow interior for summer and hopefully we will get some summer weather here in California so I can use it! Seems more like late winter lately.
What color did your mom use and is she happy with hers?
I'm so happy you finished your bag...it wasn't too hard, was it? Good job!

I love your bag!
Nancy,
I loved the red interior too and almost thought about making the purse reversible!
Oh your purse sounds very cute!
I'm surprised California is still stuck in winter, maybe GA took all your summer because it is awfully hot here!
My mom made a blue jean purse and added the flower. She posted on your blog right before I did and is very pleased with the results :).
I am so happy I finished it too and it wasn't too hard at all!
Thanks so much! There are a few more pics at justdebbiedeb.blogspot.com and I will see if I can post a few more later :). Have a blessed day! Thanks for stopping in!!!
