It was one of those days where everything seemed to go wrong....
Recently, I've had some curves thrown in best laid plans if you will and that's ok. I think sometimes God says, ok I know you think you have it all figured out but it's really ok if that changes.
I so often get caught up in what I want and what I think is best when really, I have no clue. Sadly, it is easy for me to get caught in the should-have-beens. Thankfully, it doesn't take much to snap out of it! I start to fall into woe-is-me's but oh how quickly that can change with a matter of perspective.
God brings one friend into my life to share an hour, hour and a half conversation and catch up! Suddenly, life isn't all about me and I realize that is the best place to be! Oh how I love to sit and listen to people share their lives, their struggles, their hopes, their dreams, their successes, their failures and ultimately I see God's hand at work!
Suddenly my problems aren't that big anymore. And if they are big, I am reminded that God has the whole world in his hands, as cliche as that may sound.
"Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?....But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. EAch day has enough trouble of its own."-Matthew 6: 7, 33-34
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present not the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."-Romans 8:38-39

Oh, words of wisdom. I do believe you have grown up. If you could only follow all of that regularly you would understand the secret to life! You are special and God has great things in store for you!
