It is quiet. Too quiet. Summer is here but it doesn't really feel like summer just yet. It will in two weeks! Today was bittersweet. I watched one of my best friends graduate. I helped people pack and watched them drive away (well not really but the parking lot is empty).
I also went to a Belhaven Baseball game, my first one! I know, I've been here for two years and should've been to a few more but this was interesting. The umpire quit in the middle of the game after a fan made a comment and the coach talked to him. One of the strangest things, but you never know what a person is going through and words can be powerful. I still think it's weird that he would just leave in the middle of it. It's the line between compassion for whatever he's going through and completing a job to the best of your ability. Sticky situation. And it affected a whole lot of people (fans, players, coaches, himself, his family). Just some food for thought.
I also have a heavy heart for some friends who are going through difficult times, but I'm learning to trust God with them. And prayer is powerful.
My friend started a blog: Hello Sunshine, she says I'll be for rainy days and she'll take the sunshiny ones :). I like it! Speaking of rain, boy did we have some thunder last night that brought in a beautiful, breezy, sunshiny day! I like how God works those together, the powerful and scary brought beautiful joy!
