Life is getting crazy and I still can't believe I was in Russia two weeks ago, it feels like it's been a lot longer. Good memories come flooding back. Now just trying to finish everything before school starts which is August 14th ahhhh!!! Exciting and weird. Oh and I experienced a "you know you live in the South when..." All of your town comes out to the grand opening of Target! It was like Christmas and I couldn't believe it!!! Well I better get started on all the stuff I have to do! Hope everyone has a great day!

A week. It's been a week since that long 24 hour return flight. A week since I was having water fights with kids. A week since I was offered pouridge every morning for breakfast. A week since I danced with precious little girls at the disco. A week since 4 bags of potato chips were gone in 5 minutes. A week since I helped string an endless number of glow-in-the dark mobiles. A week since I heard endless cries for nicklecki i.e. stickers. A week since I had priceless hugs from Russian campers. "Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.' " Matthew 19:14 "And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them." Mark 10:16

I love nice customers! So yesterday the dining room was finally cleared and an older couple came in that were just so sweet. I had been trying to sweep for a while and of course, everyone sits where you need to sweep. Anyway the lady sat down and soon moved as she realized my dilemma. It was small and yes, I must be crazy to be excited to continue sweeping but hey, it was so nice of them. I watched as her husband blessed their food and happily continued sweeping.

Nothin' like listening to a Christmas song in the dead of summer! Christmas is such a special holiday for so many reasons. It was the beginning of the end of separation from Christ. It is a time for family and friends. A time of good memories. Coziness. Despite the promise of ninety degree weather here in the armpit of the South, it's fun to think of Christmas. Hope everyone's havin' a blast this summer!!

1. Walmart announces over the intercom for the employees that Carolina beat Clemson
2. Books a Million sells a carolinaopoly game
3. You wear shorts on December 22
4. The lights at the zoo spout fake snow at the entry
Home sweet home!

Monday night, 8:30, daddy's so sweet brings me popcorn. So I've got three president traces left for my history class. Ok, so I think I've probably been doing this a tad bit too long, but um the pictures of these guys, their last words, and uh, some interesting tidbits about them are pretty interesting. Makes you wonder what they were like, they look like nice guys, or out of a British children's book, or kinda stern and scary. Just some thoughts. I always seem to blog about history so here's for something that's a bid different: had some girlfriends over and watched A Cinderella Story, just thought about cinder ella, cinders that's kind of weird I bet there's an explanation for that. Anyway that was tuns of fun took funny pictures, had pizza and cake. Nothin' like hangin' out with friends. Well that's all for now.

Got all my summer reading done before school though, that's a plus. Yeah, not too much new. Sadly my bro is leaving on Wednesday for Oregon, 'till about Christmas. He's excited though which is good. Other than that, not much new it's still pretty warm here, we've had rain last week. Well until next time!! And to my bro I hope you have a great year, we'll miss you!!

Scalding water. It's hot. I went to water the flowers and as usual for a Carolina summer, when I turned on the water to our black hose that was sitting in the sun I had to wait a minute or too and let it get cold so I could water the flowers with cool water. It's amazing!! Anyway so I started The Immortal today by Angela Elwell Hunt. Just through the first chapter but so far so good. Will let ya know how it goes! The days of summer draw to an end.
